India Hits Back Against Pakistan’s Narrative in Japan

An Indian parliamentary delegation, led by JDU MP Sanjay Jha, made a powerful statement in Tokyo, debunking Pakistan’s false claims and emphasizing India’s unwavering stance against terrorism.

A Day of Diplomacy and Rebuttals

The delegation arrived in Japan’s capital on Tuesday and wasted no time in engaging with key figures in Japanese society. They paid their respects at Mahatma Gandhi’s bust and held meetings with Japanese government officials, ruling party members, and prominent think tanks.

The delegation’s message was clear: India has zero tolerance for terrorism. Sanjay Jha directly addressed think tank members, outlining India’s strong counter-terrorism efforts and exposing Pakistan’s attempts to spread disinformation through cyberattacks and fake news. He specifically highlighted the recent Pahalgam terror attack and India’s resolute response.

Addressing Questions and Setting the Record Straight

During the discussions, the delegation also addressed questions about India’s position on the Russia-Ukraine war. Former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid clarified that India’s stance is not neutrality but a firm belief that war is never the answer.

Another point of discussion was Operation Sindoor, named after the traditional red vermilion powder worn by married women in India. BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi explained the operation’s name, highlighting the devastating impact of the Pakistan-sponsored attack in Pahalgam, where many women lost their husbands. The name “Sindoor” symbolizes India’s resolve to avenge those lost and support the women affected by the tragedy.

A Global Mission

This delegation, the first of seven, will continue its journey to other countries with significant Muslim populations, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, and Singapore. Their mission is to share India’s perspective on terrorism and build stronger international collaborations in combating this global threat.

Key Players in the Delegation

The delegation includes prominent figures like former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Left MP John Brittas, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, Hemang Joshi, Pradhan Barua, TMC General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee, and former Ambassador Mohan Kumar.

Returning Home Soon

The delegation’s journey will conclude on June 3rd when they return home after visiting various countries, carrying with them the message of India’s unwavering commitment to peace and security.
