The Honda Rebel 500, a stylish cruiser motorcycle, has officially hit the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). For now, you can only find this bike at select Honda BigWing dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Bookings Open, Deliveries in 2025
Honda is already taking bookings for the Rebel 500, but you’ll have to wait a bit to get your hands on one. Deliveries are slated to begin in June 2025.
Classic Cruiser Looks
The Rebel 500 boasts a classic cruiser design with a high-mounted fuel tank, a low seat for a relaxed riding position, and a sleek, narrow tail section. It has a cool, all-blacked-out theme and comes in a single, eye-catching Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic color.
Power and Performance
Under the hood, the Rebel 500 packs a punch with its 471cc parallel-twin engine. This liquid-cooled powerplant churns out 46bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 43.3Nm at 6,000rpm. It’s connected to a smooth six-speed gearbox.
Tech and Features
While it focuses on classic styling, the Rebel 500 isn’t short on features. It comes equipped with an LCD instrument cluster to keep you informed about all the essentials.
Suspension and Braking
For a comfortable ride, the Rebel 500 features telescopic front forks and Showa twin shock absorbers at the rear. When it comes to stopping power, it boasts a 296mm disc brake upfront and a 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard, ensuring safety in every situation.
Wheels and Tires
The Rebel 500 rolls on stylish 16-inch alloy wheels shod with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear tires, providing a good balance of grip and style.
