Cannes 2025: Indian Celebrities Bring the Glamour

Indian Stars Shine Bright at Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival is known for its glitz and glamour, and this year, Indian celebrities are making a major impact on the red carpet. From stunning gowns to unique creations, they’re showcasing the beauty and diversity of Indian fashion.
Nancy Tyagi: A Month in the Making
Influencer Nancy Tyagi, a fan favorite, returned to Cannes with two show-stopping looks. Her first was a breathtaking silver gown, a masterpiece she designed and created herself. The gown featured a shimmering corset, delicate rose-shaped details, and layers of flowing tulle. She completed the look with a dramatic headpiece, adding an extra touch of theatre.
For her second appearance, Nancy opted for a more modern look: a mini dress in her mother’s favorite color. “This color is my mom’s favorite, so this year I decided to design a dress in this color,” she shared on Instagram. “It took a whole month to make… the dress was quite heavy.” But the effort was clearly worth it, as the dress was adorned with pearls and intricate paneling, creating a delicate and stunning contrast to her first gown.
Shalini Passi: Pastel Perfection
Shalini Passi, known for her role in “The Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives,” brought a touch of soft elegance to Cannes. She chose a pastel pink gown by designers Fouad Sarkis and Ornelys Couture. The gown featured a flattering halter neckline, Swarovski crystal detailing, and a gentle train that flowed behind her. She accessorized with a blush pink Judith Leiber clutch, bow-drop earrings, and a bold diamond ring, completing her graceful and sophisticated look.
Parul Gulati: Hair-Raising Fashion
Parul Gulati made a memorable debut at Cannes with a truly unique dress made entirely from braided hair. This innovative creation was a nod to her own brand, Nish Hair, and her personal style. Designed by ITRH, the dress featured a structured top half made from tight braids, which transitioned into a flowing cascade of loose braids at the bottom. Her bold and unconventional choice was met with immense admiration from fans, who showered her with praise.
Anushka Sen: A Dream Come True
Actor Anushka Sen also made her Cannes debut in a stunning mermaid-style gown by Duchess Kumari Couture. This gown was months in the making, involving 611 hours of work by 34 skilled artisans. Anushka expressed her gratitude to everyone involved, calling it a “dream come true.” The gown beautifully blended Indian embroidery with a modern silhouette, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and contemporary style.
