In the clip, Starc can be seen loading his cricket gear onto a trolley outside the airport terminal when a fan starts filming him. Starc quickly becomes visibly displeased and gestures for the fan to stop, repeatedly saying, ‘Go away.’ The moment has sparked a lot of discussion online, with some fans defending Starc’s right to privacy while others criticize his behavior.
Starc Exiting IPL 2025
This incident comes on the heels of news that Starc will not be returning for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Sources say he has informed the Delhi Capitals (DC) management of his decision. The tournament was suspended due to cross-border tensions, adding to the uncertainty surrounding Starc’s participation.
DC Moves Forward Without Starc
Despite Starc’s departure, the Delhi Capitals are pressing on. They resumed training with their first practice session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday. Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera was present, although other overseas players like Faf du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs are expected to join soon. Team mentor Kevin Pietersen, who headed back home during the break, is slated to return to the camp on May 16.

The Delhi Capitals are set to face the Gujarat Titans on May 18 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. They will be practicing at their franchise facility in Aerocity on Friday. The Gujarat Titans arrived in Delhi on May 15 and plan to train on May 16. Notably, DC brought in Mustafizur Rahman as a replacement for Jake Fraser-McGurk, while Gujarat Titans signed Kusal Mendis to fill in for Jos Buttler, who will miss the playoffs.
