Pakistan Army Official Makes Threatening Gesture at Indian Protesters in London

A Pakistani military official made headlines this week after a video of him appearing to make a throat-slitting gesture toward Indian protesters went viral.
The incident occurred outside the Pakistan High Commission in London on Friday. Hundreds of British Hindus had gathered to protest against a recent terrorist attack in India’s Pahalgam region, where 25 Indian nationals and a Nepali citizen were killed.
The protesters, holding Indian flags and banners, expressed their grief and demanded justice. They criticized Pakistan for its alleged support of terrorism, pointing to the Pahalgam attack as a prime example.
Adding to the tension, organizers of the protest claimed the Pakistan High Commission had played loud music during the demonstration, a move they described as insensitive and disrespectful to the victims.
The video of the Pakistani Army official, identified as Colonel Taimur Rahat, the Army and Air Advisor at the High Commission, sparked outrage.
Protesters and members of the Indian diaspora expressed their anger and called for action against Pakistan. They demanded that the UK government summon the Pakistani High Commissioner for an explanation and for Pakistan to publicly condemn the killings in Pahalgam.
This incident has further strained relations between India and Pakistan, which have a long history of conflict.
