Pakistani National Apprehended at LoC in Poonch Sector

Tensions between India and Pakistan remain high after a Pakistani national was apprehended by Indian security forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This comes just days after another Pakistani national was caught trying to cross into India illegally in Punjab.

According to an Army official quoted by ANI, the individual was caught after a brief exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces in the Lasana village of Surankote. The Indian Army has increased its vigilance and deployments along the LoC in response to the heightened tension.

Recent Cross-Border Incidents

This latest incident follows a pattern of recent cross-border episodes that have further strained relations between the two countries. Just last Sunday, a 24-year-old Pakistani national named Husnain from Gujranwala was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the Border Out Post (BOP) Sahapur in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. He was found hiding in dense vegetation after crossing into Indian territory. Pakistani currency and a national identity card were recovered from him. The BSF is currently investigating his motives and how he managed to cross the border.

Adding to the list of incidents, a Pakistani Ranger was detained along the Rajasthan border recently, and a BSF jawan was captured by Pakistani forces. These events come after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which further escalated tensions between the two nations.
