Blue Tigers Warm Up for Asian Cup with Thailand Friendly

Get ready for some exciting football action! India’s national men’s team, known as the Blue Tigers, will be playing a friendly match against Thailand on June 4, 2025, at the Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani, Thailand.

This friendly is part of India’s preparation for their crucial AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier match against Hong Kong on June 10. India is currently ranked 127th in the FIFA rankings, while Thailand holds the 99th spot.

The Blue Tigers will start their training camp in Kolkata on May 18 and then head to Thailand on May 29. After the friendly against Thailand, they’ll fly to Hong Kong to get acclimatized and prepare for their Asian Cup qualifier.

India is currently in Group C of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers alongside Bangladesh, Singapore, and Hong Kong. All four teams are tied with one point each after the first round of matches. India drew goalless against Bangladesh in Shillong, while Singapore and Hong Kong also played to a draw in Singapore on March 25.

India and Thailand have faced each other 26 times in the past. The Blue Tigers have won seven matches, while Thailand has emerged victorious in 12. The remaining seven matches have ended in draws.
