Malaika Arora Faces Warrant Threat in Saif Ali Khan Hotel Brawl Case

Malaika Arora Given Final Warning in 2012 Hotel Brawl Case
Actress Malaika Arora is in hot water after repeatedly missing court appearances in a 2012 hotel brawl case involving actor Saif Ali Khan. The Mumbai court, understandably frustrated, has issued a final warning to Arora, threatening to issue a non-bailable warrant if she doesn’t show up for the next hearing on July 9.
The trouble started back in February 2012 when a brawl allegedly broke out at a five-star hotel. Arora was part of a group dining with Saif Ali Khan, which also included his wife Kareena Kapoor, her sister Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, and some male friends. A complaint was filed by NRI businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma, who accused Saif of punching him in the nose after he protested the group’s noisy behavior.
According to police reports, Sharma claimed that Saif and his friends also assaulted his father-in-law, Raman Patel. Saif, on the other hand, maintains that Sharma made provocative comments and used abusive language towards the women in his group, which led to the altercation.
Saif Ali Khan, along with two of his friends, Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi, have been charged under section 325 of the Indian Penal Code. Despite a bailable warrant being issued against Arora on February 15 and re-issued on April 8, she failed to appear in court. The court has now given her a final chance to cooperate with the legal proceedings.
