Pakistan Wants International Probe into Pahalgam Terror Attack

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif is calling for an international investigation into the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He believes Russia, China, or even Western countries could play a key role in uncovering the truth.
In an interview with Russia’s state-run news agency RIA Novosti, Asif suggested forming an international team to determine if India’s claims about the attack are accurate. He emphasized the need for evidence and stated that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif supports this call for an international probe.
Asif stressed that empty statements won’t suffice. He wants concrete proof linking Pakistan to the attack or any support provided to the perpetrators. The Resistance Front (TRF), suspected to be a splinter group of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack, escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
Adding fuel to the fire, Asif admitted in a separate interview with Sky News that Pakistan has a history of supporting terrorist organizations, calling it “dirty work” done for the West, particularly the United States and Britain.
