Modi Vows ‘Harshest Response’ to Pahalgam Terror Attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat, to address the nation in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. He expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, stating that the images of the attack had left every Indian angry and saddened.
Modi condemned the attack, emphasizing that the culprits and their sponsors will be punished with the harshest response. He assured the families of the victims that they will receive justice.
This isn’t the first time Modi has spoken out against this act of terror. Just days earlier, he made a similar pledge while addressing a gathering in Bihar.
The Indian government has already taken several steps against Pakistan, including suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, expelling three Pakistani defense advisors, and revoking visas of Pakistani nationals in India.
Modi highlighted the unity of the nation in the face of this tragedy, stating that the entire country stands united against terrorism. He pointed out that the attack was a desperate act by those who oppose the peace and progress returning to Kashmir.
He noted that tourism was flourishing, schools and colleges were vibrant, and democracy was strengthening in the region. He believes these developments angered the terrorists and their patrons.
Modi also shared that he had received condolences and messages of support from world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and several others. He emphasized that the global community stands with India in condemning this heinous act of terrorism.
