Akshay Kumar Reacts to Pahalgam Terror Attack at ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ Screening

Akshay Kumar, known for his powerful on-screen presence, showed his real-life emotions when he addressed the audience at a screening of his latest film, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, on Saturday. Joining him was his co-star Madhavan.
The event took place just days after a horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, where at least 26 people, mostly civilians, were killed and 20 others injured. The attack, carried out by terrorists who opened fire on tourists in Baisaran valley, shook the nation.
Kumar, visibly moved by the tragedy, channeled the anger of his character in the film, a courtroom drama set against the backdrop of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Addressing the audience, he said, “Unfortunately, even today, the same anger we all feel is rekindled. All of you know exactly what I’m talking about. Today, I want to say the same few words to the terrorists as I did in the film. What?”
The audience, understanding his sentiments, responded with the film’s powerful dialogue: “F*** you.”
This wasn’t Kumar’s first reaction to the attack. Earlier, he had taken to X (formerly Twitter) expressing his horror and grief, writing, “Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families.”
‘Kesari Chapter 2,’ based on the book ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’ by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, sees Kumar stepping into the role of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. ”
